The Society was registered in September 2020 as a response to address the needs of oncology professionals and their affiliates in Zambia. ZASCRO is a not-for profit organisation

VISION
To be recognized as leaders in cancer care in Zambia

MISSION
Promoting the growth and interests of oncologists and related professionals in oncology and palliative care. The Society envisions becoming a leader in research, training and advocacy in cancer management in Zambia and maintain excellence in the delivery of quality cancer and palliative care services wherever they are required, thereby improving patient care through education, clinical practice, advancement of science through research and advocacy.

CONSULTING

Provision of cancer awareness and education to promote prevention and early diagnosis of cancer

RESEARCH

The society manages research grants for members that apply for grants and conduct research in oncology that will lead to generating data on cancer and provision of innovative solutions to improve the lives of cancer patients.

TRAINING

ZASCRO supports CMEs through seminars and webinars. The Society promotes collaborations with national and international universities, professional bodies, and other organizations to keep its members and affiliates abreast with the current and new trends in cancer management
